running a Sprint Championship
If you are currently doing track
days, you can't afford to miss this - it will save you a fortune
and you will have even more fun.
RAFMSA / BBAC Sprint
Challenge
The Sprint Challenge is open to members
of both the Royal Air Force Motor Sports Association and a special invitation to
members of Black Bird Auto Club.
The challenge takes place over 10 rounds with two rounds per day.
The venue is at RAF Barkston Heath which is between Grantham and Spalding.
The entry fee is £45 per day plus an annual championship registration fee of
£10.
The time table for the day is normally
9.00 Gates open
9.45 Sign on closes
10.00 Convoy runs ( normally 2)
10.15 Timed runs ( normally 4 or 5)
12.30 Lunch - catering normally on site
13.15 Timed runs ( normally 4 or 5)
16.00 Free practice ends / end of day
Timing is via electronic sensors to accuracy of 1000th of a second.
The optimum number of competitors on route together is 5
These event do not run under MSA authority. These events have there own
regulations and insurance aimed at entry/ budget level motorsport.
Safety cover includes a paramedic and rescue/ recovery / fire.
BBAC members are eligable for both overall and BBAC awards
The RAFMSA/BBAC Sprint Championship has started, with 56 competitors on the
first sprint.
